Dungaree Dress Class

Our dungaree dress class is perfect for you if you are just starting out on your dressmaking journey. We will follow the Cleo dress pattern from the award winning Tilly and the Buttons. This is a great introductory level pattern that will introduce you to (optional) buttonholes, accurate top stitching, sewing with heavy weight fabric, using facings and adding the all important pockets!

The Cleo pinafore from Tilly and the Buttons is one of their most popular patterns and it is easy to see why! Such a comfortable and on trend dress which has a so many different options to from, mini or knee length, without without pockets or a split. Wear Cleo all year round, over a t-shirt in summer and with tights and a poloneck in winter! Im loving wearing mine with big collared blouses and statement sleeves right now.

What's included:
As well as all the tea you can drink, we will provide the sewing machines, all of the tools and threads you will need to complete your projects as well as any interfacing, that you will need. You will also receive your own copy of the Tilly and The Button's Cleo pattern (RRP £15) to keep to make again at home.
Lunch is provided on our all day weekend classes.

What do I need to bring:
You will need to bring the fabric that you need for each project.

This class is for you if:
You have used a sewing machine before and have completed some simple projects such as tote bags or PJ bottoms, you may have completed our Beginners Course. If you want to start making your own clothes this is a great pattern to start with.

This class is not for you if:

Cancellations or amendments can only be made to your booking within 48 hours of booking. Cancellations or amendments are not permitted after 48 hours of booking.
In the unlikely event that we must cancel the class a full refund will be given, or you can choose to move your booking to another class of the same value. We will give you as much notice as possible by emailing you and/or telephoning on the number provided at the time of booking.
All classes must be paid for in advance. Bookings are securely processed via the website. Sew You Can do not store or access your bank details, these are processed securely by Stripe of Paypal.
By booking a class you consent to receive emails from Sew You Can, you may opt out of this at any time.
Complementary lunch is provided on our all-day classes. This consists of soup and a sandwich option. The soup will be vegetarian and there will be at least one choice of vegetarian sandwich. Unfortunately, we cannot cater for any other dietary requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: Our studio is on the first floor and there is no lift.
