Sew a Simple Dress

Fancy making a beautiful dress that fits you perfectly? With our Sew a Simple Dress Day workshop you can do exactly that. Using the award winning Tilly and the Buttons 'Lotta Dress' pattern our experienced tutor will show you how to measure yourself and select the perfect pattern size for you. We will then guide you step by step through the sewing pattern as you create your dress.

Either all in one day (10-4:30) or chunk it into two evenings we will help you walk away with a beautiful new, me made dress.

Who is this class for?
This class is for you if you have used a sewing machine before and completed some simple projects such as simple skirts or pyjama bottoms and you feel ready to take on a slightly more complex sewing pattern.

This class is not for you if:
You have never used a sewing machine before - we recommend completing one of our beginners classes first.

What's included:
As well as all the tea you can drink, we will provide the sewing machines, all of the tools and threads you will need to complete your projects as well as any interfacing, elastic that you will need. You will also receive your own copy of the Tilly and The Button's Lotta dress pattern to keep to make again at home.
Lunch is also provided on the all day class.

What do I need to bring:
You will need to bring the fabric that you need for your dress. You are free to bring this with you or we have fabric for sale in the studio. After booking we will send you an email outlining the type and amount of fabric required.

Cancellations or amendments can only be made to your booking within 48 hours of booking. Cancellations or amendments are not permitted after 48 hours of booking.
In the unlikely event that we must cancel the class a full refund will be given, or you can choose to move your booking to another class of the same value. We will give you as much notice as possible by emailing you and/or telephoning on the number provided at the time of booking.
All classes must be paid for in advance. Bookings are securely processed via the website. Sew You Can do not store or access your bank details, these are processed securely by Stripe of Paypal.
By booking a class you consent to receive emails from Sew You Can, you may opt out of this at any time.
Complementary lunch is provided on our all-day classes. This consists of soup and a sandwich option. The soup will be vegetarian and there will be at least one choice of vegetarian sandwich. Unfortunately, we cannot cater for any other dietary requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: Our studio is on the first floor and there is no lift.
